Library.nu shut down

The address gigapedia.info has just one message in the last days:

Gigapedia is the entry door to Library.nu one of the largest (and free) booksharing sites. The site operated for years just to providing reading to those that cannot (or don't want) to pay.

You can read more about this sad news in the article by Andrew Losowsky:

TorrentFreak also posted about the shut down:

Read and keep your eyes open. Government don't want people reading and learning for free. In the Middle Ages a copied work of art was a encomium to the artist, today is a easy way to court.

Stop and think by yourself, don't let the money owners think for you. Learn and spread the news, the way to knowledge is becoming dark and dark... but we have an answer: we will not stop because of publishers, fake and bad quality artists, Lamas and Priests, leaders and politicians!

The game is just beginning. Share everywhere!

  2. I agree too! In my opinion it was the third most important site on the web after google and wikipedia. Please join the effort to convince people of the importance of having the site working again. For a nice article on why it should continue its operation and how it can be (legally) done read this: Free Knowledge-The aftermath of library.nu
