Khenpo Namdrol Rinpoche - The Practice of Vajrakilaya (ClearScan)

CLICK IN THE COVER TO DOWNLOAD THE PDF!

A detailed and lucid explanation of the history and practice of Vajrakilaya, embodying the buddhas' enlightened activity and often used to dispel obstacles.

"The practice of Vajrakilaya blazes at the heart of the ancient Vajrayana traditions of Tibet. The wrathful heruka Vajrakilaya is the yidam deity who manifests in an intensely wrathful yet compassionate form in order to subjugate the delusion and negativity that can arise as obstacles to the practice of dharma. In fact, the practice of Vajrakilaya is famous in the Tibetan Buddhist world as the most powerful for removing obstacles, destroying the forces hostile to compassion, and purifying the spiritual pollution so prevalent in this age." Sogyal Rinpoche.

"If you choose Vajrakilaya as your yidam deity, it is very easy to progress on the path, since all obstacles are naturally dispelled and you can achieve the supreme siddhi without ant fault. Vajrakilaya is none other than Vajrapani manifesting as a yidam heruka - the one who clears away all hindrances on the path to enlightenment." Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.

Pabongkha Dechen Nyingpo - The Extremely Secret Dakini of Naropa: Vajrayogini Practice and Commentary

CLICK IN THE COVER TO DOWNLOAD THE PDF!

The Extremely Secret Dakini of Naropa is the commentary to the practice of Vajrayogini in the Naro Kacho lineage composed by Kyabje Pabongkha as revealed to him directly by Vajrayogini herself. This text has become the basis for almost every subsequent Vajrayogini commentary in the Gelug tradition. Kyabje Pabongkha’s commentary is both very thorough in its presentation and deeply inspiring. It provides rich detail about all eleven yogas of the generation stage, the transference of consciousness, tsok offering, left-sided conduct and many other auxiliary practices, making it essential for practitioners of Vajrayogini. There is also a stunning explanation of the completion stage, providing many extraordinarily profound methods unique to the practice of Vajrayogini because of its relationship to the Six Yogas of Naropa.

The second half of the book contains several sadhanas for the practice of Vajrayogini, including the extensive, middling, and concise generation stage, the practice of Vajrayogini combined with six-session guru yoga, as well as two sadhanas on the transference of consciousness.

This is a huge PDF (162 MB), the file cannot be compressed, the original JPEG's files are of bad quality.

This is a collection of the images from the book (in the original JPEG), for easy practice, reference and print (you can use you own printer software, Microsoft Word, Photoshop or any other, even Paint).

David B. Gray - The Cakrasamvara Tantra: The Discourse of Sri Heruka (Sriherukabhidhana)

CLICK IN THE COVER TO DOWNLOAD THIS (AND MANY OTHER)  PDF!

The first complete study and annotated translation into English of the Chakrasamvara Tantra from both Sanskrit and Tibetan sources. This text is a foundational scripture of one of the most important Indian Buddhist tantric traditions. Along with the Hevajra Tantra, it is one of the earliest and most influential of the Yogini Tantras, a genre of tantric Buddhist scripture that emphasizes female deities, particularly the often fiercly depicted yoginis and dakinis.

The introductory essay provides an analysis of the historical and intellectual contexts in which the tantra was composed, including its complex interrelationship with Hindu Saiva traditions, and also investigates the history of its adaptation by Buddhists. The translation was made on the basis of the surviving Sanskrit mansuscripts of the tantra and its commentaries, as well as parallel passages in related explanatory tantras (vyakhytantra). It also takes into consideration two different Tibetan translations of the root text, and several Tibetan commentaries. The translation itself is heavily annotated, with extensive translations from the Indian and Tibetan commentaries on the text. Includes a trilingual glossary and index.

Sakyong Mipham - Turning the Mind into an Ally

CLIK IN THE COVER TO DOWNLOAD THE PDF!

Sakyong Mipham shows how to cultivate a strong stable mind and no longer live "at the mercy of our moods." His stories and wisdom from American culture, as well as from the great Buddhist teachers, help demystify this essential discipline and place it in the framework of Western culture. Accessible, practical, and clear, it provides readers with the necessary tools for taming the mind.

Mipham is director of Shambhala International, an umbrella organization representing over 100 meditation and study centers that was founded by his father, the renowned spiritual leader Chogyam Trungpa. His first book offers basic guidelines to meditation or peaceful abiding for those interested in learning more about Buddhist meditation. His instruction and discussion of the virtues of peaceful abiding are followed by suggestions for thematic contemplative meditations on topics such as birth, old age, and death. Having grown up in the United States but with traditional Tibetan training, Mipham is able to connect the traditional practice with the Western mind-set. He also brings a youthful spirit to his writing, with frequent use of outdoor sports (e.g., horseback riding, archery, golf, and hiking) to embellish his teachings metaphorically. Unfortunately, this work lacks the passion and depth so notable in his father's writings, and the text breaks little new ground. Those new to Tibetan Buddhism will find more inspirational reading in books by the Dalai Lama, and there is more in-depth instruction on Tibetan meditation practices in works such as Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's A Meditation Handbook. Recommended for libraries with large Buddhist collections.

Tsele Natsok Rangdrol - The Circle of the Sun

CLICK IN THE COVER TO DOWNLOAD THE RAR FILE WITH PDF!

There is a teaching which, if you are able to practice it intelligently and diligently, is a shortcut to enlightenment within this very body and lifetime, a magical staircase, a secret pathway, the quintessence of all the sutras, tantras and oral instructions, the ultimate view, meditation and action, the vital point of the ground, path and fruition and the victorious summit of all the vehicles. It is Trekcho and Thogal, the instructions of atiyoga.

This book, a profound guidance text written by the learned and accomplished Tsele Natsok Rangdrol, is concise, lucid and easy to practice.

The Circle of the Sun  would benefit everyone interested in the Dharma. The words are clear and easy to understand and lengthy scholarly expositions are not emphasized. This text, easy to comprehend and containing all the key points and very direct instructions, results from following the oral advice of a qualified master.

The most effective style of teaching for a practitioner in this dark age is not a lengthy scholarly explanation but a direct ‘guidance manual'. 'Guidance manual', triyik, means a short, comprehensive teaching.

Trekcho and thogal are the two main topics in this book. Trekcho is the main view in all the Eight Practice Lineages. Through trekcho, all the masters of the past attained enlightenment. Without the view of trekcho one doesn't reach the core of thogal practice. The thogal visions are  rigdang, 'manifestations of awareness', but lacking the correct view of recognizing rigpa, they become nothing but lungdang, 'manifestations of the karmic wind' - expressions of dualistic fixation. Recognizing rigpa is the key point in trekcho.
